Guest Speaker on August 16: Lyle Miller

rebecca Announcements

On Sunday, August 16, 2020, Lyle Miller of Everence will join North Suburban Mennonite Church for Fellowship and Worship. Fellowship time starts at 10am and worship begins at 10:30am. Please contact Anne for instructions on how to join the Zoom fellowship and worship time.

Lyle will introduce Everence and the ways in which it supports congregations and individuals. Of note: Amidst COVID-19 is a congregational assistance fund funded by Everence, Mennonite Central Committee, and Mennonite Disaster Service which has supported nearly 200 congregations (primarily smaller and made up primarily of immigrants and persons of color). There have been some powerful stories.

Lyle has also suggested “a pop-up time” in which we can share a very brief–two or three words–answer to this question, “What is your earliest memory of money?”

Lyle’s sermon is entitled, “Managing Pigs for God” and he will draw from Acts 4:31-35.
