July 29 School Kit Assembly

A Sunday of Worshipful Work

This Sunday–July 29, the fifth Sunday of the month–we will do worshipful work together to assemble school kits for Mennonite Central Committee (MCC), the relief and development arm of the Mennonite Church. On the MCC site, read more about school kits and other kits that MCC provides to people in need around the world:

“School kits are MCC’s most requested item. They are given to students displaced by natural disaster or war or struggling to afford schooling.

Notebooks and pencils are treasures for families who struggle to afford basic school supplies. School kits often are requested after disasters and help bring normalcy to children whose families have been forced to flee their homes.

78,035 [school kits] shipped last year to Jordan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iraq, Zambia, Ukraine, Somalia, Burkina Faso, Canada, the U.S.”

Join us as we assemble school kits together on Sunday, July 29, 10:00am.
