Message from Faith in Place

rebecca News

Faithful People Caring for the Earth
Rural, Urban, and Suburban.

Baha’i, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu,
Jewish, Muslim, Other, Sikh, Unitarian, and Zoroastrian.

Arab, African, Asian, Latinx, Native American, and those of European descent.

We are diverse and united around the air we breathe, the soil that grows our food, and the water we all drink. We are working together, young and old, for healthier communities.

In a moment of division in the country, you are a part of the Faith in Place diverse and united network working together to take local action for environmental justice

Watch our 2017 Annual Video to see this action in motion for greater impact across Illinois this year.

You are helping us make a positive difference!

Watch the video to see how people just like you worked with their faith communities and Green Teams to plant gardens, sign petitions, change lightbulbs, install solar panels, speak with elected officials, and more.

We are stronger when we act together! This past year, people of faith across Illinois collectively:

  • Reduced 165 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions
  • Grew 209,000 lbs of food and donated 30,000 lbs back to the community
  • Diverted 3.5 million gallons of water from sewer systems
  • Advocated for 2,000 clean energy jobs for foster care alumni and returning citizens

Your support of Faith in Place makes this impact possible. Please donate today to help us grow these efforts in 2018.
